Sous Chef
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team in Doha. As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in managing the kitchen operations, creating menus, and overseeing food preparation. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary excellence, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, recipe creation, and food cost management
- Oversee food preparation and ensure high-quality standards are met
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on culinary techniques and safe food handling practices
- Maintain inventory levels and track food costs to ensure profitability
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests
- Assist with hiring, scheduling, and performance evaluations of kitchen staff
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant or hotel setting
- Culinary degree or equivalent training preferred
- Strong knowledge of international cuisine with an emphasis on Indian or Pakistani dishes
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage kitchen staff effectively
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good understanding of food cost control techniques
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills
