Instrument Technician
We are in need of a skilled and experienced Instrument Technician to join our team in Salalah. As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and calibrating various types of instruments used in industrial processes. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1500$ per month, including accommodation and visa sponsorship.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair faulty instruments according to technical manuals and safety procedures
- Perform routine maintenance on instruments to ensure proper functioning
- Calibrate instruments using specialized tools and equipment
- Document all repairs, maintenance, and calibration activities accurately
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to identify and resolve complex issues
- Keep up-to-date with new technologies and advancements in the field of instrumentation
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; certificate or associate's degree in instrumentation or related field is preferred
- Minimum of 3 years experience as an Instrument Technician in an industrial setting
- Solid understanding of electrical circuits, reading schematics, and troubleshooting techniques
- Knowledge of various types of instruments such as pressure gauges, flow meters, temperature sensors, etc.
- Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Physical stamina to work in a variety of environments (indoor/outdoor) and lift heavy equipment if necessary
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers)
- Familiarity with data acquisition systems and data analysis software
- Ability to read/write technical reports in English
