Senior Accountant - Sharjah, UAE



We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Sharjah, UAE. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, along with excellent communication and organizational skills.

As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the company's financial records, preparing financial statements and reports, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department. You will also play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, and analyzing financial data to make strategic business decisions.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records for the company
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Conduct regular analysis of financial data to identify trends and variances
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Oversee the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings
- Train and supervise junior accounting staff
- Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external auditors

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's degree preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role
- CPA or ACCA certification is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations (IFRS experience preferred)
- Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic language skills is a plus)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software (SAP experience is a plus)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Attention to detail and accuracy are essential
- Biometric passport for travel purposes is required
