Executive Chef at a Temporary Restaurant in Khasab, Oman
We are in need of a skilled Executive Chef to join our team at a temporary restaurant in Khasab, Oman. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all food preparation and production for the restaurant. This is a short-term position, lasting approximately 6 months.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement menus that align with the restaurant's concept and appeal to customers
- Source high-quality ingredients from local markets and suppliers
- Train and manage kitchen staff, including sous chefs, cooks, and dishwashers
- Oversee all food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring quality and consistency
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service flow
- Create daily specials based on seasonal ingredients or customer preferences
- Manage budgetary concerns by controlling costs without sacrificing quality
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-volume environment
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Extensive knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and cuisines
- Creative with strong leadership skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1500$ per month for this temporary position.
