Pastry Chef
We are a renowned five-star hotel in Jeddah, looking for a talented and creative Pastry Chef to join our team. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating delectable desserts and pastries that meet our high standards of quality and presentation. You will work closely with the Executive Chef to develop new menu items and ensure consistency in the taste and appearance of all pastry offerings.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake various types of desserts, including cakes, pastries, cookies, and tarts
- Decorate pastries using different techniques to enhance their visual appeal
- Develop new pastry recipes that incorporate seasonal ingredients and cater to dietary restrictions
- Maintain inventory levels of pastry ingredients and supplies
- Train junior pastry cooks on proper techniques and sanitation practices
- Ensure all food safety guidelines are followed at all times
- Collaborate with other members of the kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation of all food items
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role
- Extensive knowledge of different baking techniques and ingredients
- Creativity and ability to develop unique dessert concepts
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain high quality standards
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure
Salary: 1400$
Location: Jeddah (open to candidates from India)
Language requirement: Fluency in English is preferred but not required
