Job Title: Librarian (Malayalee) in Dubai



We are seeking a qualified and experienced Malayalee Librarian to join our team in Dubai. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing our library collection, assisting patrons with research and reference inquiries, and developing library programs. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field, excellent communication skills in English, and strong knowledge of library systems and technologies. This position does not include accommodation, so local candidates are preferred. All applicants must have the right to work in Dubai. Salary is 1200$ per month.

As a Librarian (Malayalee) in Dubai, your responsibilities will include:

- Managing and organizing the library collection and ensuring its upkeep
- Assisting patrons with research and reference inquiries
- Developing engaging library programs for all age groups
- Collaborating with other departments to promote the use of the library
- Maintaining accurate records of borrowing and returns
- Staying updated on new library technologies and implementing them effectively
- Training new staff members on library procedures and policies
- Providing exceptional customer service to all patrons

To be successful in this role, you should have:

- A Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
- Fluency in English for effective communication with patrons
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Knowledge of different classification systems and cataloging methods
- Familiarity with library management software such as Dewey Decimal System or Library of Congress Classification System
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Previous experience working as a librarian is preferred but not required
