Contract Librarian in Nizwa, Oman


We are in search of a qualified and enthusiastic Contract Librarian to join our team in Nizwa, Oman. As a Contract Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing our library's resources, assisting patrons with research and reference needs, and promoting library services to the community. This is a contract position without accommodation, but we do offer visa sponsorship for the right candidate.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage the acquisition, cataloging, and circulation of library materials
- Develop and maintain an organized system for shelving and retrieving books and other materials
- Assist patrons with research inquiries and provide guidance on using library resources
- Promote library services through outreach programs and events
- Collaborate with other librarians to develop and implement new programs or services
- Keep up-to-date with current trends in information science and technology

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Proven experience working as a librarian or in a similar role
- Familiarity with library systems and databases
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1500$ per month for this contract position.
