Radio Technician



We are a leading maritime company located in Khasab, seeking a highly skilled and motivated Radio Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate should have experience in maintaining and repairing radio communication equipment and systems on ships, as well as knowledge of international regulations and standards.

As a Radio Technician, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining various types of radio equipment including VHF, HF, MF, and satellite communication systems. You will also be required to conduct regular inspections and tests to ensure the proper functioning of the equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Install, repair, and maintain all types of radio communication systems on board ships.
- Troubleshoot any technical issues with the equipment and provide prompt solutions.
- Conduct routine inspections and tests to ensure compliance with international regulations.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and report any malfunctions or defects to the relevant authorities.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Stay updated with new technologies and regulations related to radio communication systems.

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Radio Technician in the maritime industry.
- Knowledge of international regulations such as SOLAS, GMDSS, and ITU Radio Regulations.
- Familiarity with various types of radio equipment including VHF, HF, MF, and satellite communication systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical problems effectively.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Valid certification from recognized institutions is preferred.

Salary:

We offer a competitive salary package starting at 1200$ per month based on qualifications and experience.

Note: This is an urgent position without accommodation provided. Preference will be given to candidates who are already based in Khasab or willing to relocate at their own expense.
