Head Chef

We are in search of a skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our team at a high-end restaurant in Nizwa, Oman. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations including menu planning, food preparation, and staff management. You must have a passion for creating innovative and delicious dishes using fresh, locally sourced ingredients.

Responsibilities:
- Create and develop new menus that cater to a diverse range of tastes and dietary restrictions
- Supervise all kitchen staff including hiring, training, and scheduling
- Ensure consistent quality and presentation of all dishes served
- Manage inventory levels and ordering of supplies to maintain budget standards
- Comply with sanitary regulations and uphold high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen area
- Collaborate with management to plan special events and promotions to drive business

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a high-end restaurant setting
- Ability to manage and lead a team effectively while maintaining a positive work environment
- In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques, flavor profiles, and food safety standards
- Excellent communication skills to effectively delegate tasks and provide feedback to staff
- Creativity in developing new dishes while also adhering to established menu items
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks at once in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications:
- Degree or certification in Culinary Arts preferred but not required
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef
- Familiarity with Omani cuisine is a plus
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Salary: $1300 per month
Location: Nizwa, Oman
