Head Chef
The Head Chef will oversee all aspects of the kitchen operations at our high-end restaurant located in Khasab. They will be responsible for creating and executing menus, managing inventory and food costs, training and supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring high quality and consistent food standards. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a Head Chef in a fine dining establishment, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for creating innovative dishes using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement menus that reflect the restaurant's concept and meet guest preferences
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, safety standards, and sanitation practices
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate supply while minimizing waste
- Manage food costs by creating efficient portion sizes and minimizing waste
- Collaborate with management to develop new menu items or make changes to existing offerings
- Ensure compliance with health code regulations and maintain a clean working environment
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a fine dining establishment
- Culinary degree or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, kitchen equipment, and best practices
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Creativity in developing new dishes using fresh ingredients
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining high standards of food quality
Salary: 1800$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
