Library Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Library Assistant to join our team in Ar-Ruwais. As a Library Assistant, you will assist the librarian in managing the library collection, providing customer service to library patrons, and maintaining the library's organization and cleanliness.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing the circulation of library materials, including checking in and out books, shelving returned materials, and collecting fines.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting library patrons with locating materials and answering any questions they may have.
- Maintain the organization of the library by shelving books and other materials according to the Dewey Decimal System.
- Help with inventory management by checking for damaged or missing items.
- Assist with cataloging new materials and updating existing records in the library's database.
- Keep the library clean and tidy by dusting shelves, wiping down tables, and organizing displays.
- Participate in planning and implementing library events and programs for students.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required. Some college education preferred.
- Previous experience working in a library or customer service role is preferred but not required.
- Must be organized with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and ability to provide excellent customer service.
- Must have a valid biometric passport for employment purposes.
