Cashier - Retail Store (Al Buraymi, Oman)



We are seeking a friendly and customer-oriented Cashier to join our retail store in Al Buraymi, Oman. As a Cashier, your main responsibility will be to process transactions accurately and efficiently while providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and assist them with their purchases
- Scan products and process payments using cash registers or other electronic devices
- Issue receipts, refunds, and change to customers
- Maintain accurate cash drawer by counting money at the beginning and end of each shift
- Handle exchanges or returns in a timely manner
- Ensure all prices and quantities are accurate on product labels
- Keep the checkout area clean and organized
- Answer customer inquiries regarding products, store policies, and payment methods
- Upsell products by informing customers of current promotions or special offers
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth store operations

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a cashier or in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong mathematical skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Proficiency in using electronic devices such as cash registers or scanners
- Ability to multitask and handle stressful situations calmly
- Must be able to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays if needed
