Head Pastry Chef
As a Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the pastry department in our high-end restaurant located in Bayan, Kuwait. You will lead a team of pastry chefs and ensure the production of high-quality desserts, pastries, and breads that meet our standards.
Responsibilities:
- Create and update pastry menus to incorporate seasonal ingredients and new trends.
- Train and mentor pastry chefs on proper techniques, recipes, and plating presentations.
- Oversee daily production of all pastry items including desserts, pastries, breads, and specialty items.
- Monitor inventory levels and order necessary supplies to maintain stock.
- Ensure food safety standards are followed at all times.
- Collaborate with other kitchen departments to coordinate menu offerings.
- Manage food cost by monitoring portion control and minimizing waste.
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, and menu planning.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant.
- Ability to lead a team effectively with strong communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients.
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop unique dessert concepts.
- Excellent time management skills to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience.
Salary: 1400$ per month
