Head Chef
Location: Al Buraymi, Oman
We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to join our team in Al Buraymi, Oman. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen and managing a team of chefs and kitchen staff. Your role will involve creating new menus, ensuring high-quality food production, maintaining food safety standards, and managing inventory and ordering supplies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and create new menu items based on local ingredients and customer preferences
- Train, supervise and manage a team of chefs and kitchen staff
- Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation at all times
- Ensure food safety procedures are followed by all kitchen staff
- Manage inventory and control food costs by monitoring portion sizes and minimizing waste
- Create schedules for kitchen staff to ensure efficient operation of the restaurant
- Collaborate with other departments such as front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service flow
- Implement systems for ordering supplies and maintaining proper stock levels
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a high-volume restaurant
- Knowledge of Omani cuisine is preferred but not required
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Strong creativity in menu development
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills in English (Arabic proficiency is a plus)
Salary:
The salary for this position is 1200$ per month.
