Pastry Chef
As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious and visually appealing desserts and pastries for our restaurant in Al-Khor. We are seeking a talented and creative individual with a passion for pastry-making and a strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Create new and innovative pastry recipes that meet the restaurant's standards and customers' preferences
- Prepare, bake, decorate, and present desserts and pastries according to menu specifications
- Manage inventory of ingredients and supplies, ensuring freshness and quality at all times
- Train and supervise other kitchen staff in proper pastry-making techniques
- Maintain a clean and organized work station, following food safety guidelines at all times
- Collaborate with the management team to plan seasonal menus and special events
- Monitor food costs, minimize waste, and suggest cost-saving measures without compromising quality
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and techniques to continuously improve skills
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant or bakery
- Knowledge of different pastry-making techniques, ingredients, equipment, and tools
- Creativity in developing new recipes while also executing classic favorites with precision
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and supervise kitchen staff
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn from others
- Malayalee nationality preferred
Salary: 1700$ per month
