Librarian

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Librarian to join our team in Ajman. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the library's collection, providing reference and research assistance to patrons, and organizing events and programs to promote reading and literacy. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Library Science or a related field, as well as previous experience working in a library setting. Strong organizational and communication skills are also essential for this role. This is a full-time position with a salary of $1300 per month, and accommodation will be provided.

The main responsibilities of the Librarian include:

- Managing the library's collection by selecting, acquiring, cataloging, and classifying materials
- Assisting patrons with reference questions and research needs
- Organizing events and programs to promote reading and literacy within the community
- Maintaining the library's physical space by shelving books, organizing displays, and ensuring cleanliness
- Collaborating with other departments within the organization to develop educational resources
- Keeping up-to-date with new technologies and trends in library services

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Previous experience working in a library setting preferred
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to interact with patrons of all ages
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Knowledge of library systems and software
- Passion for promoting reading and literacy
