Quantity Surveyor
We are hiring a Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Sharjah. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of the quantity surveying process, including cost estimation, budget planning, and contract negotiation. You will work closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure projects are completed within budget and on time. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost estimates for construction projects
- Analyze project plans and specifications to determine project costs
- Develop budgets and monitor project expenses
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors
- Conduct site visits to review progress and identify potential issues
- Monitor project progress and make recommendations for cost-saving measures
- Prepare progress reports for clients
- Resolve any disputes or issues that arise during construction
- Conduct final inspections to ensure quality standards are met
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of construction processes and materials
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills with the ability to work well with diverse teams
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quantity surveying software
This is a full-time position with a salary of 1000$ per month. This role is open to candidates from Pakistan or Kerala who have a valid visa for employment in Sharjah. This is an urgent requirement so candidates must be able to start immediately. This is not a language-specific role as long as the candidate can effectively communicate in English. Accommodation will not be provided but visa sponsorship will be offered if required. This is also open to part-time candidates who can commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week.
