Job Title: Librarian (Al-Malikiyah, Iraq)



We are seeking a skilled Librarian to join our team in Al-Malikiyah, Iraq. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing our library collection, providing reference services to patrons, and promoting library resources and programs.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a library setting
- Knowledge of library classification systems and cataloging procedures
- Familiarity with online databases and information resources
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team

Responsibilities:

- Manage and maintain the library's collection of books, periodicals, and digital resources
- Catalog new materials using appropriate classification systems
- Assist patrons with research inquiries and provide reference services
- Develop and implement programs to promote the use of library resources among the community
- Collaborate with other librarians to plan and coordinate events such as book clubs, workshops, and author talks
- Create engaging displays to highlight new arrivals or special collections
- Keep accurate records of circulation statistics, patron feedback, and inventory levels
- Train and supervise library assistants or volunteers as needed
