Executive Chef - Salalah


We are currently hiring an experienced and skilled Executive Chef to join our team in Salalah. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, menu planning, food quality control, and managing a team of kitchen staff.

Responsibilities:
- Create and develop menus that are innovative and meet the expectations of our guests
- Ensure that all food products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant's recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards
- Train and manage a team of kitchen staff to maintain high-quality food production and service
- Monitor inventory levels of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure proper stock levels
- Collaborate with other departments such as purchasing and finance to ensure cost-effective operations
- Maintain a safe and sanitary kitchen environment by following health and safety standards
- Develop relationships with local vendors to source fresh ingredients for menu items
- Maintain food cost control by implementing efficient purchasing practices

Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Ability to create menus that meet dietary restrictions or preferences while maintaining high-quality standards
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with other departments and vendors
- Creativity in developing new dishes while also maintaining traditional dishes on the menu
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility with schedule including weekends and holidays

Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in culinary arts or related field preferred
- Minimum 5 years experience as an Executive Chef or similar role
- Certification in food handling/safety
- Fluent English language skills (Arabic is a plus)

Salary: 1100$ per month

Contract: This is a contract position with the potential for long-term employment.

Accommodation: This position does not include accommodation.

Visa and Ticket: We provide a free visa and round-trip ticket for the successful candidate.

Location: Salalah, Oman
