Job Title: Instrument Technician
We are a reputable company in the oil and gas industry, currently seeking an experienced Instrument Technician to join our team in Salalah. As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of various instruments and control systems used in our operations. Your main goal will be to ensure that all equipment is functioning properly and efficiently to support our production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular maintenance and calibration of instruments and control systems according to manufacturer's guidelines
- Troubleshoot and repair any issues with instruments or control systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
- Perform inspections on new equipment before installation, ensuring they meet industry standards
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance activities and report any major issues or concerns to management
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of new instruments and control systems when needed
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to develop solutions for complex technical problems
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies while performing job duties
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent, technical certification preferred
- 3+ years of experience as an Instrument Technician in the oil and gas industry
- Proficient in reading technical diagrams and manuals for instrument maintenance
- Familiarity with various types of instruments such as flow meters, pressure gauges, temperature sensors, etc.
- Experience with troubleshooting PLCs and other control systems
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict safety protocols
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Biometric passport is a plus
