Mason - Contract Position in Khasab, Oman


We are currently seeking an experienced Mason for a contract position in the beautiful city of Khasab, Oman. As a Mason, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining structures made of brick, stone or concrete blocks. Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
- Measure and mark surfaces to be covered
- Mix mortar and other materials to create a strong bond
- Lay bricks or other materials in a pattern according to plans
- Cut or shape materials to fit corners or around obstacles
- Use tools such as hammers, chisels, trowels, levels and jointers to complete work
- Repair or replace damaged bricks or other materials
- Clean and maintain tools and equipment used in masonry work

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Mason or similar role
- Knowledge of different types of masonry materials and techniques
- Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings
- Strong math skills for measuring and calculating materials needed
- Physical stamina for working long hours in various weather conditions
- Attention to detail and ability to work accurately with precise measurements

Preferred Qualifications:
- Trade certification in masonry or related field
- Experience working on both new construction projects as well as restoration projects
- Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations in the construction industry

Salary:
The salary for this contract position is 1200$ per month.
