Instrument Technician
As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and calibrating various types of instruments used in industrial and manufacturing settings. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and functionality of these instruments. You will be based in Al Buraymi, working full-time with a salary of 1600$.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine maintenance on instruments such as pressure gauges, transmitters, flow meters, and temperature sensors.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with malfunctioning instruments.
- Repair or replace faulty components in instruments.
- Perform calibration procedures to ensure accurate readings.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance and repairs performed.
- Work closely with other technicians and engineers to troubleshoot complex instrument systems.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Instrument Technician or similar role.
- Completion of technical training or certification in instrumentation or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of various types of instruments and their functions.
- Familiarity with reading technical diagrams and schematics.
- Ability to use testing equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and pressure calibrators.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with team members.
Preferred:
- Prior experience in the oil & gas industry is preferred but not required.
- Nationality preference for Omani candidates.
