Malayalee Chef
Our restaurant in Al-Khor is seeking a skilled and experienced Malayalee Chef to join our team. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and cooking of traditional Malayalee cuisine, as well as managing our kitchen staff.
Requirements:
- Must be a native Malayalee or have extensive experience in cooking Malayalee cuisine
- Minimum of 5 years experience working as a Chef, preferably in a high-volume restaurant
- Strong knowledge of traditional Malayalee spices, herbs, and cooking techniques
- Ability to create and execute new menu items while maintaining the authenticity of traditional dishes
- Excellent leadership skills and ability to train and manage kitchen staff
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency in food quality and presentation
Responsibilities:
- Plan and oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Create new menu items that showcase the flavors of Malayalee cuisine while also considering customer preferences and dietary restrictions
- Train and manage kitchen staff on proper techniques, recipes, portion control, and sanitation standards
- Ensure all food is prepared according to recipe guidelines and presented in an appealing manner
- Maintain inventory levels for all ingredients needed for Malayalee dishes and place orders as needed
- Monitor food costs to ensure profitability while maintaining quality standards
Salary: 1000$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
