Executive Chef - Khasab, Oman
We are seeking a skilled and creative Executive Chef to join our team in Khasab, Oman. As the head of our culinary department, you will be responsible for creating and executing delicious and innovative menus, managing kitchen staff, maintaining food quality and safety standards, and controlling food costs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and a strong background in designing and implementing menus for various cuisines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create unique and appealing menus that cater to different tastes and dietary needs
- Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen and manage kitchen staff
- Ensure high-quality food production by maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards
- Control food costs by monitoring inventory levels and ordering supplies as needed
- Develop relationships with local suppliers to source fresh ingredients
- Train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and menu items
- Monitor customer feedback and make necessary adjustments to menu items
- Collaborate with restaurant management to develop marketing strategies for menu items
Requirements:
- Prior experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant preferred
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience required
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a team effectively
- Creativity in designing menus that appeal to diverse palates
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
- Excellent communication skills
Compensation:
Salary: $1200 USD per month (tax-free)
