Agronomist - Agricultural Researcher
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Agronomist to join our team at our agricultural research facility in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agriculture and plant sciences, with a focus on research and development. This position offers a salary of $1500, as well as accommodation and other benefits. We welcome applications from all nationalities, but proficiency in Malayalam is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting research on various crops and plants to improve yield, quality, and sustainability
- Analyzing data and presenting findings to management
- Developing new techniques and methods for crop growth and protection
- Collaborating with other team members to design experiments and trials
- Participating in field work such as planting, harvesting, and soil sampling
- Monitoring plant growth and health through regular inspections
- Maintaining accurate records of research data
- Identifying pest or disease outbreaks and implementing control measures
- Staying updated on industry trends, advancements, and regulations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agronomy or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience in agricultural research or similar role
- Strong knowledge of crop growth cycles, soil science, pest management, and irrigation systems
- Experience with statistical analysis software for data interpretation
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Malayalam is preferred
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
