Cashier - Contract Position in Nizwa, Oman
We are in need of a reliable and experienced Cashier to join our team on a contract basis in Nizwa, Oman. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for handling cash transactions accurately and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have prior cashier experience, good math skills, and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers as they enter the store and guide them towards the products they are looking for
- Process cash transactions accurately using a cash register or POS system
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Resolve customer complaints in a professional manner
- Ensure pricing is correct on all items and make any necessary adjustments
- Keep track of all cash inflow and outflow throughout the day
- Count money at the end of each shift and balance against sales receipts
- Maintain accurate records of transactions, including voids and refunds
- Assist with stocking shelves and maintaining inventory levels as needed
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a cashier or in a similar role
- Basic math skills with the ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Experience with operating a cash register or POS system is preferred
