Sous Chef
As a Sous Chef, you will work closely with our Head Chef to oversee the daily operations of our kitchen and ensure the highest quality of food is being served to our customers. You will be responsible for managing and training our kitchen staff, creating new menu items, and maintaining inventory levels. This position requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and creativity in the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation
- Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, including training new hires
- Ensure all meals are prepared according to recipes and quality standards
- Create new menu items based on seasonal ingredients and customer feedback
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen at all times
- Conduct regular food safety inspections to ensure compliance with health codes
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant setting
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well under pressure
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Salary: $1800 per month
