Cashier - Contract Position in Nairobi


A busy retail store in Nairobi is seeking a reliable and efficient Cashier to join our team on a contract basis. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for processing customer transactions accurately and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. This position offers a salary of 1700$ per month, along with free accommodation, visa, and ticket.

Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide friendly and efficient service at the checkout counter
- Scan items and process payments accurately using the cash register system
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions with precision
- Maintain a clean checkout area and assist with keeping the store tidy
- Answer customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a professional manner
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours
- Follow all cash handling procedures and maintain accuracy at all times

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education required
- Previous experience as a Cashier or in a similar role preferred
- Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers effectively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy under pressure
- Basic computer knowledge for processing transactions using the cash register system
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
