Entry-Level Restaurant Manager



Our busy restaurant in Nairobi is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Entry-Level Restaurant Manager to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for the hospitality industry and a desire to progress their career in a fast-paced environment. As an Entry-Level Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food quality.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the restaurant's daily operations, including managing staff, inventory, and finances
- Ensure that all customers receive excellent service and resolve any complaints or issues promptly
- Maintain high standards of food quality and ensure that all dishes are prepared according to recipes
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed to maintain stock levels
- Train new employees on restaurant policies, procedures, and customer service standards
- Create staff schedules and ensure that all shifts are adequately staffed
- Handle cash transactions accurately and oversee proper cash handling procedures by staff
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth communication between front-of-house and back-of-house operations
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; degree in hospitality or related field preferred
- Previous experience in a restaurant setting is preferred but not required
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and basic accounting principles
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
