Welder - Contract Position (Nairobi, Kenya)


We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team in Nairobi, Kenya. As a Welder, you will be responsible for using various welding techniques to fabricate and repair metal structures and equipment according to blueprints and specifications. This is a contract position with a salary of 1500$ per month.

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine welding requirements
- Set up and operate welding equipment, including gas and electric arc welders, to join metal components
- Perform welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding as required
- Inspect completed welds for quality assurance and make necessary repairs if needed
- Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate protective gear at all times

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Welder or completion of a welding apprenticeship program
- Knowledge of various welding techniques and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Physical strength and stamina to work in a variety of positions for extended periods of time
