Welder
We are currently seeking an experienced Welder to join our team in Nairobi. This is a contract job, suitable for men with their own visa.
As a Welder, you will be responsible for performing welding and fabrication tasks in accordance with safety guidelines and project specifications. You will be working with various metals, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret blueprints and welding plans to determine the layout and materials needed for each project
- Measure and mark materials for cutting and welding
- Operate welding equipment to join or cut metal parts according to project specifications
- Inspect welds for accuracy and quality control
- Troubleshoot any issues with equipment or materials
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Welder, preferably in a construction or manufacturing setting
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding plans
- Proficient in various types of welding techniques, such as MIG, TIG, ARC, etc.
- Knowledge of different types of metals and their properties
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift heavy materials, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods of time
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or technical certification in welding is preferred
- Valid certification in Welding from an accredited institution is required
- Valid work permit/visa for Kenya is required
