Merchandiser (Nairobi, Kenya)


We are in need of a skilled and experienced Merchandiser to join our team in Nairobi, Kenya. As a Merchandiser, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing displays and managing inventory levels to maximize sales and profitability. You will work closely with buyers, suppliers, and store managers to ensure that our products are presented in the most attractive way possible.

Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience as a Merchandiser or in a similar role
- Strong understanding of retail merchandising principles
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to analyze sales data and make data-driven decisions
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must have valid work visa for Kenya (sponsorship may be provided)
- Must be able to work without accommodation provided

Responsibilities:
- Plan and create visual displays to showcase products in an attractive manner
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed to maintain optimal stock levels
- Collaborate with buyers to determine product selection and pricing strategies
- Communicate with suppliers regarding product availability, pricing, and delivery schedules
- Analyze sales data to identify trends and adjust merchandising strategies accordingly
- Conduct regular store visits to ensure proper implementation of merchandising plans
- Train store staff on proper product placement techniques
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities

Salary:
The salary for this position is 1400$ per month.
