Shaper Trainer

As a Shaper Trainer in Nairobi, Kenya, you will be responsible for training and mentoring a diverse group of women in the art of shaping. Your role will involve teaching technical skills, providing feedback and guidance, and creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment. You will work closely with the trainees to help them develop their skills and confidence in shaping various materials such as wood, metal, or plastic. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience as a shaper and a passion for empowering women through skill development.

Responsibilities:
- Develop training curriculum and lesson plans for shaping techniques
- Teach trainees how to use shaping tools safely and effectively
- Provide individualized feedback to trainees on their progress
- Facilitate group discussions and activities to enhance learning
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all trainees
- Monitor and track trainees' progress throughout the training program
- Collaborate with other trainers and staff to continuously improve the training program

Requirements:
- Extensive experience as a shaper, preferably in multiple materials (e.g. wood, metal, plastic)
- Strong technical knowledge of shaping techniques and tools
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively teach and provide feedback
- Previous experience working with diverse groups or communities is preferred
- Passion for empowering women through skill development
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with others
- Fluent in English (additional language skills are a plus)

Salary: $1700/month (negotiable based on experience)

Location: Nairobi, Kenya (willingness to travel within the city may be required)
