Contract Foundryman for Nairobi-based Company

As a Contract Foundryman, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining foundry equipment, producing high-quality castings, and ensuring the efficient and safe operation of the foundry. You will work closely with the production team to meet production targets and maintain quality standards. Your duties will include monitoring and adjusting furnace temperatures, melting and pouring metal, inspecting castings for defects, and maintaining records of production. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in a foundry setting, strong technical skills, and the ability to work independently. This is a contract position that requires the employee to have their own visa for working in Nairobi. The salary for this position is $1800 per month.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Foundryman in a manufacturing environment
- Proficient in operating various foundry equipment
- Strong technical skills in metal melting, pouring, and casting processes
- Ability to interpret blueprints and specifications
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to foundry operations
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must have own visa for working in Nairobi

Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain foundry equipment such as furnaces, molds, ladles, etc.
- Monitor furnace temperatures and make adjustments as needed
- Melt metal using appropriate techniques based on specifications
- Pour molten metal into molds according to production requirements
- Inspect castings for defects and make necessary repairs or adjustments
- Maintain accurate records of production data including quantities produced, scrap rates, etc.
- Ensure workplace safety by following all safety procedures related to foundry operations
- Communicate with production team to meet production targets and maintain quality standards
