Claims Adjuster


As a Claims Adjuster in Nairobi, you will be responsible for investigating insurance claims to determine the extent of liability and negotiate settlements with claimants. You will be working closely with policyholders, witnesses, and other experts to gather information and evidence related to the claim. Your role will also involve analyzing insurance policies, evaluating damages, and determining the appropriate amount of compensation.

To excel in this role, you should have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle complex situations with ease. You must also be knowledgeable about insurance laws and regulations in Nairobi. Prior experience in insurance or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Investigate insurance claims by gathering information from all parties involved
- Review policy terms and coverage to determine liability
- Conduct interviews with witnesses and experts as needed
- Analyze information collected to make fair and accurate decisions on claim settlements
- Communicate with policyholders, claimants, and other stakeholders throughout the claims process
- Negotiate settlements within established guidelines and limits
- Keep detailed records of all interactions and decisions made regarding the claim
- Stay updated on insurance laws and regulations in Nairobi to ensure compliance

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Insurance or a related field (preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years experience as an Adjuster or similar role
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to handle complex situations with calmness and professionalism
- Knowledge of insurance laws and regulations in Nairobi
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1100 per month.

Location:
This position is based in Nairobi but may require occasional travel within the city for field investigations.
