CNC Operator in Nairobi, Kenya


We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Operator to join our team in Nairobi. As a CNC Operator, you will be responsible for operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce high-quality metal and plastic parts according to specifications. Your main duties will include setting up machines, loading materials, monitoring the production process, and performing quality checks to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

To be successful in this role, you should have at least 2 years of experience operating CNC machines and a strong understanding of programming languages such as G-code. A keen eye for detail and the ability to read technical drawings are also essential. As this is a contract job, you must be able to work independently and have excellent time management skills.

In addition, the ideal candidate should possess a biometric passport as we may require international travel for training or project assignments. Accommodation will be provided during any out-of-town assignments. This is an urgent position, so we are looking for someone who can start immediately.

Responsibilities:
- Set up machines according to specifications
- Load materials onto the machine
- Monitor the production process and make adjustments as needed
- Perform quality checks on finished products using precision measuring instruments
- Troubleshoot issues with machine performance
- Maintain machinery by cleaning and lubricating parts regularly
- Adhere to safety regulations at all times

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years experience operating CNC machines
- Proficiency in programming languages such as G-code
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and quality control skills
- Excellent time management abilities
- Biometric passport preferred but not required
