Job Title: Baker
We are in search of a skilled Baker to join our team in Hawalli. As a Baker, you will be responsible for creating delicious baked goods for our customers. Your main duties will include mixing and preparing dough, baking and decorating various pastries and breads, and ensuring that all products are of high quality and meet food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a variety of breads, cakes, pastries, cookies, and other baked goods according to recipes
- Measure and mix ingredients to form dough or batter using various equipment such as mixers or ovens
- Monitor baking process and adjust temperatures as needed to ensure perfect results
- Decorate finished products with icing, glaze or other toppings as per customer requests
- Ensure that all products meet food safety standards by following proper sanitation guidelines and storing ingredients correctly
- Keep track of inventory levels and inform management when supplies need to be replenished
- Train new bakers on company procedures and recipes
- Collaborate with other team members to develop new recipes or improve existing ones
Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED required; culinary degree/certificate preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Baker in a commercial bakery or restaurant setting
- Knowledge of different types of flours, sugars, yeasts and other ingredients used in baking
- Ability to read and follow recipes accurately
- Excellent time-management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Physically fit with the ability to lift at least 50 pounds
- Must be able to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays
