Junior Database Administrator


We are hiring a Junior Database Administrator to join our growing team in Wiltz. As a Junior Database Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing our company's databases. This is an entry-level position, perfect for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in database administration.

Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain database software
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies
- Create user accounts and manage access control
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure data integrity and security
- Perform regular database maintenance tasks such as backups, updates, and optimizations
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and technologies related to database administration

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Strong understanding of relational database concepts
- Working knowledge of SQL and other database languages
- Familiarity with database management systems (DBMS) such as Oracle, MySQL, or SQL Server
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
While not required, the following qualifications would be considered an asset:
- Previous experience or internship in a similar role
- Certification in relevant database technologies
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts
- Familiarity with cloud-based databases
