Interpreter/Translator


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Interpreter/Translator to join our team in Wiltz. As an Interpreter/Translator, you will be responsible for accurately translating spoken or written communication between two or more parties who speak different languages. This role requires excellent communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to think quickly and adapt to changing situations.

Responsibilities:
- Accurately interpret spoken communication between parties who speak different languages
- Translate written documents from one language to another
- Provide cultural context and explanations as needed
- Listen carefully and understand the message being conveyed by both parties
- Use specialized vocabulary and terminology as appropriate
- Maintain confidentiality and impartiality while working with sensitive information
- Research unfamiliar words or concepts to ensure accuracy of translation
- Proofread translated texts for grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors
- Collaborate with other interpreters or translators as needed

Requirements:
- Fluent in at least two languages, including English and one other language (French, German, Luxembourgish preferred)
- Proven experience as an interpreter or translator (at least 2 years preferred)
- Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal form
- Strong cultural awareness and sensitivity
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with translation software/tools is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Translation, Interpretation, Linguistics or related field is preferred but not required

Salary: $1300/month with accommodation provided.
