Executive Chef - African Cuisine (Dubai)
We are a high-end restaurant in Dubai seeking an Executive Chef with a passion for African cuisine. As the head of our kitchen, you will be responsible for creating and overseeing a menu that showcases the unique flavors and techniques of various African countries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a menu that highlights traditional and modern African dishes
- Train and manage kitchen staff, ensuring quality and consistency in food preparation
- Monitor food costs and inventory levels to ensure profitability
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and adherence to safety standards
- Collaborate with management to plan special events or themed menus
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new ideas into menu offerings
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience as a Chef, with a focus on African cuisine
- Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and train kitchen staff
- In-depth knowledge of various African cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles
- Excellent time management skills to oversee multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Salary: $1200/month (tax-free)
