Cashier (Al Buraymi, Oman)



We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team at a retail store in Al Buraymi, Oman. The ideal candidate will have experience working as a cashier and possess strong customer service skills. This is an urgent position and candidates must currently hold a biometric passport.

In this role, you will be responsible for accurately processing customer transactions, handling cash and credit card payments, and maintaining an organized cash register. You will also be expected to assist customers with any inquiries and provide excellent customer service at all times.

To excel in this role, you must have excellent numerical and communication skills. You should also be able to work efficiently under pressure and have the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Previous experience working as a cashier in a retail environment is preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Accurately process customer transactions using cash registers
- Handle cash, credit card, and other forms of payment
- Maintain an organized cash register and ensure correct change is given to customers
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving any issues
- Monitor inventory levels of money in the cash register and request additional funds when needed
- Follow all company policies and procedures regarding handling of cash and credit card transactions
- Keep the work area clean, tidy, and presentable at all times

Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience working as a cashier in a retail environment
- Strong numerical skills with the ability to handle money accurately
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English (knowledge of Arabic is preferred)
- Customer service-oriented with the ability to handle difficult customers with patience
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Must currently hold a biometric passport
