Junior Librarian

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Librarian to join our team in Sofia. As a Junior Librarian, you will assist with the organization and management of library materials, provide customer service to library patrons, and support various library programs and initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for someone without experience in the field, as we are committed to providing training and development opportunities for our employees. Responsibilities:
- Assist with cataloging, shelving, and maintaining library materials
- Provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service to library patrons
- Help plan and facilitate library programs and events
- Assist with collection development by recommending new materials for purchase
- Conduct basic reference interviews and help patrons locate information or resources
- Monitor the condition of library materials and report any damages or discrepancies
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred (but not required)
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with diverse groups of people
- Proficiency in using computer systems and applications
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed
