Pastry Chef
A high-end restaurant in Sofia is seeking a skilled and creative Pastry Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for pastry making and the ability to create unique and delicious desserts that will impress our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Create and develop new pastry recipes that align with our restaurant's menu and concept
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, including cakes, cookies, tarts, and other desserts
- Decorate pastries using various techniques such as piping, glazing, and fondant work
- Ensure all pastries are made to company standards and consistently meet customer satisfaction
- Manage inventory of baking supplies and place orders when necessary
- Train and mentor junior pastry chefs in proper techniques and recipes
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or Baker in a high-end restaurant or hotel
- In-depth knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, equipment, and safety procedures
- Creative mindset with the ability to come up with new ideas for desserts
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Strong attention to detail for plating and presentation of pastries
Qualifications:
- Diploma from a culinary school or relevant certification preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience in pastry making
- Proficient in English (Bulgarian language skills are a plus)
- Must be able to legally work in Sofia
Salary: 1500$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
