Librarian (English Speaking) in Dubai, UAE


We are hiring an experienced Librarian to join our library in Dubai, UAE. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing our collection of resources, assisting patrons with research and reference inquiries, and promoting literacy and learning within the community.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize library resources, including books, journals, electronic databases, and multimedia materials
- Assist patrons with research and reference inquiries
- Develop and implement programs to promote literacy and learning within the community
- Create displays and activities to engage library visitors
- Maintain accurate records of library materials and patron accounts
- Oversee circulation of materials and ensure timely returns
- Train library staff on proper procedures for cataloging, shelving, and handling materials
- Collaborate with other librarians to plan events and programs for all age groups

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a library setting
- Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus)
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
- Familiarity with library management software is preferred
