Blast Furnace Operator

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Blast Furnace Operator to join our team in Pula. As a Blast Furnace Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining blast furnaces used in the production of iron and steel. This is a full-time position with a salary of $900 per week.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate blast furnace equipment, controls, and machinery to produce iron or steel
- Monitor gauges, meters, and computerized controls to ensure proper functioning of equipment
- Monitor temperature, pressure, and flow rates of gases, liquids, and raw materials
- Adjust furnace settings to maintain proper temperature and chemical composition
- Inspect equipment for malfunctions and perform routine maintenance as needed
- Troubleshoot issues and make necessary repairs to keep production running smoothly
- Follow safety procedures at all times to prevent accidents or injuries

Requirements:

- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Blast Furnace Operator or similar role in an industrial setting
- Ability to work full-time hours including weekends and holidays when necessary
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs)
- Strong technical skills with knowledge of furnace operations and maintenance procedures
- Basic understanding of chemistry principles for maintaining proper chemical composition in the furnace process
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and efficiently
