Preservation Architect


Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Preservation Architect to join our team in St. Petersburg. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and protecting historic buildings, structures, and sites. This is a contract position with a salary of 1400$ per month, and accommodation and assistance with obtaining a visa can be provided.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting surveys and assessments of historic buildings and sites to determine their condition and preservation needs
- Developing preservation plans and strategies to protect historic structures from deterioration or damage
- Collaborating with construction teams to ensure preservation guidelines are followed during restoration or renovation projects
- Conducting research on historical architecture, materials, and techniques to inform preservation efforts
- Preparing detailed drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for preservation projects
- Obtaining necessary permits and approvals from local authorities for restoration or renovation work
- Overseeing the construction process to ensure the preservation plan is executed correctly
- Monitoring the condition of historic buildings over time and implementing maintenance strategies as needed

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Previous experience with historic preservation projects is preferred but not required
- Strong knowledge of historical architecture, materials, and construction techniques
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and ability to conduct thorough research
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with teams
- Excellent communication skills in English (knowledge of Russian is a plus)
- Must have own visa or be willing to obtain one
