Head Pastry Chef - St. Petersburg, Russia
As a Head Pastry Chef in our upscale bakery in St. Petersburg, Russia, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire pastry department and creating delectable desserts and pastries for our customers. Your creativity and expertise in pastry making will play a crucial role in maintaining our reputation for high-quality baked goods.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the pastry team to ensure smooth operations and efficient workflow
- Develop new and innovative pastry recipes while staying true to traditional techniques
- Train and mentor junior pastry chefs to maintain consistency in quality and presentation
- Oversee inventory management to ensure availability of necessary ingredients and supplies
- Ensure all food safety standards are met in the handling, preparation, and storage of pastries
- Collaborate with other departments to create menus for special events or seasonal offerings
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen at all times
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role, preferably in a high-end establishment
- In-depth knowledge of various baking techniques, including bread making, cake decorating, and chocolate work
- Creative mindset with a passion for continuously improving recipes and techniques
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Fluent in Russian (written and spoken), English proficiency is a plus
Salary: $1600 per month
