Industrial Alpinist

As an Industrial Alpinist, you will be responsible for providing specialized industrial services at heights and in hard-to-reach areas. Your main duties will include performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs on buildings, structures, and equipment. You will use a variety of equipment and techniques to access these areas safely and efficiently. This is a part-time position with flexible hours and does not include accommodation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform visual inspections of structures, buildings, and equipment at heights using specialized climbing techniques
- Conduct maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment such as cranes, towers, antennas, etc.
- Install safety systems such as ropes, harnesses, and anchors to ensure safe access to work areas
- Operate a variety of tools and equipment such as drills, saws, welding machines while suspended in the air
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries
- Communicate effectively with team members on job site to coordinate tasks
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Adhere to project timelines and complete tasks within given deadlines

Requirements:

- Minimum of 2 years experience in industrial alpinism or related field
- Proficient in using climbing gear such as ropes, harnesses, ascenders/descenders etc.
- Ability to work at heights for extended periods of time in various weather conditions
- Physically fit with excellent balance and coordination
- Experience with basic hand tools and power tools is preferred
- Knowledge of safety procedures for working at heights is required
- Good communication skills both verbally and in writing
- Ability to follow instructions accurately
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Salary: $1400 per month (part-time)
