Pastry Chef - Indian/Malayalee Cuisine

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pastry Chef to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Indian and Malayalee cuisine and be well-versed in traditional and modern techniques. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious and visually appealing desserts that meet our customers' expectations. You must have a keen eye for detail, excellent time management skills, and be able to work well under pressure. A competitive salary of $900 will be offered to the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a variety of Indian and Malayalee desserts according to traditional recipes
- Decorate desserts using various techniques such as piping, glazing, and garnishing
- Ensure all desserts are visually appealing, of high quality, and meet food safety standards
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to create new dessert offerings that cater to our customers' preferences
- Maintain inventory levels of pastry ingredients and supplies
- Train new pastry team members on proper techniques and procedures
- Continuously research new trends in Indian/Malayalee pastry making to enhance menu offerings

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef specializing in Indian/Malayalee cuisine
- Thorough knowledge of Indian/Malayalee dessert recipes, ingredients, and techniques
- Creative flair and ability to develop unique dessert offerings that appeal to our customers' tastes
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain consistency in taste, appearance, and portion sizes
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining quality standards
- Food safety certification is preferred but not required
