Livestock Specialist
The Livestock Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the care and management of livestock in Riyadh, ensuring their health, productivity, and overall well-being. This position requires a strong understanding of animal husbandry techniques and best practices, as well as experience working with various types of livestock such as cows, goats, sheep, and poultry. The ideal candidate will also have knowledge of nutrition, breeding, and disease prevention in livestock.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor the health and behavior of livestock on a daily basis
- Provide necessary vaccinations and medications as needed
- Create and implement feeding schedules to ensure proper nutrition for each type of animal
- Maintain clean and sanitary living conditions for the animals
- Oversee breeding programs to ensure successful reproduction
- Identify signs of illness or injury in the animals and provide appropriate treatment or consult with a veterinarian if necessary
- Keep accurate records of all livestock activities including births, deaths, vaccinations, etc.
- Train and supervise other employees involved in the care of livestock
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Animal Science or related field preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with various types of livestock
- Strong knowledge of animal husbandry techniques and best practices
- Ability to identify signs of illness or injury in animals
- Experience with breeding programs
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Must be physically fit to handle the demands of working with livestock
Salary: 1600$ per month
City: Riyadh
